Our Objective to ensure a wide range of internal and external training always to continuously develop and to improve the personal and professional knowledge and quality of every individual crew member. Obtain the relevant knowledge, motivation and skills required to manage safely, perform their Job well. Update and maintain personnel needs with regard to STCW statutory industry training requirements. Implement appropriate client training programs and maintain overall efficiency while achieving the required standard.

To achieve and maintain best practice in all areas we operate as well as a strong focus on competence, health, environment and safety.

Fulfill of the specifications of the vessels requirements to ensure specialized vessels training need and mobilizing of vessel.

RAY SHIPPING TRAINING CENTRE

We have a training center with experienced and DMA approved marine instructors to conduct a comprehensive training in all aspects of the quality and proficiency of seaman we supply. Following are the list of training subjects, but not exhausted.

  1. Introduction of company and pre-joining orientation.
  2. Requirement of ISM / ISPS code and STCW 1978 & amended 1995.
  3. Understanding MLC ( 2006 ) & On-Board complaint procedure.
  4. Environmental protection and requirement of MARPOL 73/78.
  5. Job assignment knowledge, code of safe working practice.
  6. Using operation method of safety / lifesaving / firefighting / spill response equipment.
  7. Review of accidents happened on board and near-miss.
  8. Basic maritime English, Korean culture, habit & basic Korea language.
  9. Knowledge of potential hazards and risk assessment procedure.
  10. Drug and alcohol policy.

For Seafarers to be employed on tankers the following additional subjects are included.

  • Safety operation of Gas, Oil & Chemical tankers.
  • Tanker cargo loading/ unloading precaution and tank cleaning method.

The training center also conducted customized training as require by principles such as pre-joining education accident preventive risk assessment training ERP training etc.,

The classes are as followed.

  • 4 weeks training for new seaman selected for employment
  • 2 weeks training for experienced seaman selected for employment
  • 2 days orientation training prior joining ship.
  • Video viewing regarding ISM/ISPS/MLC/Personal safety/Code of Safe Working Practice.
In-House Training using power points provided by principals and training center
All crew accepted and employed by company undergo pre joining safety training.
